Getting to Congress in Bangkok
For delegates who will be flying to Bangkok Thailand, you will be arriving at one of the international airports serving Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi airport or Don Mueung. Upon arrival, the signs in the airport are very clear, allowing you to reach one of the custom desks. Some nationalities that require a visa on arrival must proceed directly to the special area marked by the sign “Visa on Arrival”.

The Suvarnabhumi airport is 35 to 40 kilometres away from the Congress venue and the two hotels, the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotels & Towers (the Sheraton) and the Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom.

The BWI recommends that you take a public metered taxi (coloured green and yellow) located on Level 1 in front of Entrance No. 4. A taxi ride to the hotels takes about 45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The fare between THB 550.00 and THB 600.00 - about USD 18.00 to USD 20.00 - has to be paid cash.

Between the Holiday Inn and the Sheraton the taxi fare for the 10-minute ride is about THB 50.00 -USD 1.50.
